Stacy Wheelahan is an award-winning History and Social Studies educator with more than 25 years of experience teaching grades 6–12 in West Hartford, Connecticut. She holds a Master’s in Public History from Central Connecticut State University. She has been recognized through fellowships with the Gilder Lehrman Institute, White House History Teacher Institute, USS Midway, and other national programs. Stacy is known for her engaging, inquiry-based teaching style, leadership in civic education, and dedication to mentoring students through projects such as National History Day.
Beyond the classroom, Stacy finds joy in spending time with her three teenagers, two mini poodles, and her extended family. She loves chasing waterfalls, exploring new places through travel, staying active with sports, and relaxing with a good book. A perpetual student of history—and life—Stacy blends her passion for learning
with her belief in the power of education to inspire curiosity and connection.
