Lisette Rivera is a social studies teacher at Brick Memorial High School in New Jersey where she has taught for twenty-six of her thirty years of teaching. Lisette became involved with Founding Forward due to her love of learning. Lisette is passionate about teaching history. However, she believes that students leaving her classroom should also have improved writing and reading skills. Lisette has a bachelor’s degree from Richard Stockton College, a master’s degree from the University of Scranton, and has earned certificates in Jewish Studies and How to Teach the Holocaust and Prejudice Reduction. She has also been a United States Holocaust Memorial Museum fellow.
