Linda Gooding has been an educator for Garland ISD in Texas for 7 years. She currently teaches 7th Grade Texas History. Previously, she taught both in private & charter schools in Texas and Illinois, her home state. Linda pursued her Masters in Education and started teaching in her mid 40s.
She’s had a love of History since she was 8 years old and developed a passion for everything Abraham Lincoln. She was a volunteer tour guide in President Lincoln’s home in Springfield, IL during her undergraduate years. Linda also is a member of the Sixth Floor Museum and the George Bush Library in Dallas.
As a Founding Forward Ambassador, she’s excited to share this program with other educators so they can also develop their love of history. Linda says Founding Forward has instilled even more of a passion for history and she wants other teachers to experience this amazing program.
