Jill Cross, a National Board Certified Teacher and graduate of Johns Hopkins University, has 23 years of experience in public, charter, and independent schools. She led the transformation of a public school in Florida into the nation’s 11th Museum Magnet School. For four years, she served as the school’s Curriculum Integration Specialist, managing a DOE Magnet Schools Assistance Program Grant, including curriculum writing and implementation. Since then, Jill has served as curriculum director in several independent K-12 schools. She presents on teacher leadership, design thinking, object-based learning, and personalized professional learning. Jill is a Colonial Williamsburg Master Teacher, Past-President of the ASCD Affiliate Advancing Leaders Collaborative, and co-author of Living History in the Classroom: Performance and Pedagogy. Her passion is supporting teachers, strengthening social studies education, and planting seeds of change to transform teaching and learning. She is Director of Curriculum & Instruction at Bornblum Jewish Community School in Tennessee.
