Jackie Kemper has been teaching high school history for the past 30 years, 23 years have been at the Christian School of York in York PA, where she currently teaches Modern Literature, Holocaust Literature, WW2/Holocaust Elective, Economics, Modern 20th Century History, and World History and also serves as the Student Council advisor. Her passion is teaching students about history through art and literature. Her international portfolio has included trips to European countries, Israel, Armenia, and El Salvador. She is a 2018-2019 USHMM Museum Fellow, a Genocide Education Fellow and Echoes and Reflections Teacher leader. In 2023, Jackie served as a master teacher for the NEH Holocaust, Genocide and Human Rights Program at Penn State, focusing on Inquiry based instruction. She also serves on the Penn State Human Rights Teacher Advisory Board. The local VFW awarded her the Voice of Democracy Teacher and Smart Maher Teacher of the year awards. In her free time her hobbies include traveling, reading historical fiction, and photography. Having participated in several of the Medal of Honor programs at Founding Forward, Jackie wanted to be an ambassador because she believes in the mission and loves how the programming can help educators enhance their curriculum.
