Derek Frieling has 30 years of teaching experience in Missouri and Kansas. He currently teaches World History, Dual Credit American History, American History, Psychology, Sociology, and Government in Troy, KS. Derek also serves as an adjunct professor at Missouri Western State University, teaching Methods of Teaching Social Studies. He is a National Board Certified Teacher and has coached softball, baseball, scholar bowl, and speech & debate. Derek also has been a frequent presenter at teacher conferences and professional development organizations. Additionally, he is involved with several professional memberships.
In his free time, Derek enjoys building furniture, playing board games, listening to symphonic metal music, volunteering for Scouting America, and rooting for the St. Louis Cardinals and Kansas City Chiefs.
