Darlene James is an 11th and 12th grade history teacher at West Jordan High School in West Jordan, Utah, where she teaches U.S. History and Government. She is a James Madison Fellow, a Utah Daughters of the American Revolution History Teacher of the Year, and is active with many professional organizations. Darlene attended Brigham Young University and earned a Bachelor of Art in History Teaching; Seattle Pacific University and earned a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Reading and Language Arts; and Ashland University where she earned a Master of Art in American History and Government. Darlene is passionate about civic education and collaboration, both at the core of Founding Forward. Darlene enjoys spending time with family and friends, being on a good road trip to lesser known historic sites and/or National Parks, and exploring countries and cultures she hasn’t visited yet.
