Christie Vaclavik, TX

Texas
Christie Vaclavik is a lifelong learner with 21 years of educational experience. Most of her classroom experience has been spent teaching 8th-grade Early American History – Colonization through Reconstruction. This year she has changed schools and now finds herself at the largest International Baccalaureate school in the nation. The goal for each year is to inspire her students to continue to learn! Outside of the classroom, she had led several trips to the Presidential Inauguration so the students could see some government in action. She had been an advisor for Student Council, National Junior Honor Society and knitting clubs. She has high expectations for her students and herself. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, hiking, reading, knitting and baking to relieve stress.
Honored to be selected as a Founding Forward Ambassador, she is excited to share one of her favorite teacher’s institute programs with educators. She hopes to instill a passion for history in other teachers as they to have the opportunity to learn though the amazing programs that Founding Forward has to offer.
