Requirements for the 2027 Union League Scholarship Program

Requirements to apply for the 2027 Union League Scholarship are as follows:

  • 2026 Good Citizenship Award recipient & high school junior (class of 2027)
  • Commitment to civic engagement and leadership
  • Strong academic performance and intellectual curiosity
  • Demonstrate financial need (FAFSA/SAI)
  • Plan to attend accredited university or trade school

 

We are committed to ensuring that every qualified participant has the opportunity to take part in our programs. While there is no cost to apply or attend the subsequent stages, we understand students may have school, athletic, family, and/or work limitations. How to apply:

To apply for the Union League Scholarship, please:

1. Review and complete Part 1 of the 2027 Union League Scholarship program. If you have any questions, contact the Founding Forward office immediately, via e-mail at [email protected].

2. All applicants will be required to attend one of two programs, held June 12-13 and June 26-27, on Founding Forward’s Valley Forge campus. There is no cost to attend this program. Your room, meals, and the program expenses will be covered. Please note which date you are able to attend in the application. If you are unable to attend either date, please email [email protected]. The June programs will include a Valley Forge National Historical Park site visit, skills workshop, interview, and written essay session. Throughout the program, participants will be evaluated, and twenty finalists will be selected at the end of the June programs. The twenty finalists will proceed to Step 3.

3. Twenty finalists will be selected at the conclusion of the June Valley Forge programs to continue on through the process. To view all of the scholarship steps, please click here.

4. Review everything, twice, before you submit! 

5. All information will be kept confidential.

6. Submit part 1 of your scholarship application by May 29, 2026.
