Through two unique scholarships, Founding Forward awards hundreds of thousands of dollars of educational aid to students each year. Recipients utilize the funds to alleviate the financial demands throughout their four-year collegiate experience, meaning less debt as they start their careers.
Both programs require an extensive application, including an external letter of recommendation, a record of grades, financial information, a personal statement, and an essay. Recipients must demonstrate hard work, dedication, and continued leadership.
Established in 1956 to further celebrate and inspire the Good Citizenship Awardees. Students attend Good Citizen Day and receive a Founding Forward Good Citizenship Award as juniors in high school.
In their senior year, those students are eligible to apply for a Union League Scholarship.
Established in 2019 through the initial generosity of Joan J. and Wilbert D. Abele and many other Union League members, the Abele Scholarship funds educational opportunities for the children/dependents of Union League employees.
To qualify for the Union League Scholarship program, students must attend Good Citizen Day, receive the Union League Good Citizenship Award, and be a senior in high school.
To qualify for the Abele Scholarship program, students must be a child or dependent of a fully vested Union League employee, and be a senior in high school. For more information, contact us.
