Programs

Founding Forward’s programs for elementary, middle, and high school students are unmatched in their ability to bring history to life. Through our unique immersive educational opportunities, Founding Forward utilizes the places where history happened to build the leaders of today and tomorrow.

Spirit of America

A transformative, four-day residential program that engages high school students with the first principles of freedom. This one-of-a-kind immersive experience allows students to find common ground, explore and understand history in the place where it happened, and develop their leadership skills.

Good Citizen Day

Good Citizen Day was created to ensure our country’s future leaders understand the Constitution and the vital role of each citizen. The day challenges 11th-grade students to think critically as they immerse themselves in the study of freedom. Since 1947, Good Citizen Day participants have received the Good Citizenship Award to celebrate and recognize their leadership in their communities.

Service Learning in Public Policy (SLiPP)

An advanced leadership development workshop for exceptional high school students interested in law, communications, and medicine/healthcare. Students participate in action-oriented program experiences that set them apart when they apply for college and as they start their careers.

History
Encounters

A remarkable journey beyond the classroom for student groups in grades 5-12, History Encounters provides customized experiences incorporating educational experiences, live actor historians, and visits to historic locations in Valley Forge and greater Philadelphia.

Liberty
Weekend

College students spend a three-day weekend in Philadelphia delving into democracy, individual rights, economics, and law. The program combines the history and vibrancy of the city and the League House with speakers, discussions, debates, and interactive experiences with their peers.

Scholarships

Founding Forward runs two unique scholarship programs to help students pursue their post-secondary educational aspirations while also providing supplementary learning opportunities, including mentorship, life skills, and networking.
