Date & Time
This workshop is full. We hope you can join us for an alternate seminar, workshop, or summit opportunity.
Over six days, participants will explore various aspects of the physical history associated with the American Revolution in the New England Colonies. In Boston, teachers will visit such sites as the Old North Church, USS Constitution, Paul Revere’s House, and Bunker (Breed’s) Hill before proceeding to Lexington Green, Concord, and Minute Man NHP before heading north to Fort Ticonderoga and the Saratoga National Historic Park, and the Bennington Battle Monument.
Thanks to a generous donor, Founding Forward will provide a $150 stipend to every accepted teacher to help offset expenses related to attending a summer professional development seminar, workshop, or summer in 2025. Upon completion of the program, teachers will receive a $150 check to help cover travel, childcare, or any other expenses they might incur.
Accepted teachers receive a scholarship to attend the program, which covers the cost of the program, program materials, site visits, some meals, and more.
Graduate credit will be offered by La Salle University. Pennsylvania teachers will receive Act 48 credit for this seminar.

For these unique history workshops, teacher board a motorcoach for six days (Sunday – Friday) of visits to historic sites (such as national parks, state parks, and private sites) connected to a specific era of American history. Each workshop is escorted by a public historian whose lectures provide context for the historic sites to be visited. Local docents and guides provide breadth and depth in the historic stories they share. Local museums with subject appropriate materials are also included, many offering classroom resources for participating teachers.
Founding Forward’s work and mission is made possible through voluntary contributions. We need your support to ensure a future rooted in liberty. Please join our efforts to uphold our democratic system of government with your tax-deductible contribution.
