Speaker Programs

Leading scholars, policymakers, topic experts, and thought leaders take audiences beyond the sound bites with provocative and engaging insights.

Exhibits

Our exhibits explore our country’s history through interpretative educational installations in the Heritage Center on our Philadelphia campus.

House preservation and tours of the Union League

Founding Forward maintains the historic Union League House, a National Register of Historic Places building and Philadelphia landmark. The original second empire-style brownstone structure was dedicated in 1865 and now covers a entire city block. Each year, Founding Forward staff and volunteer docents lead thousands on interpretative tours of the historic property.

Historic collections

Founding Forward curates an extensive collection of art, including many commissioned works, as well as a unique archive of historic documents available for in-person and online research.

This includes invaluable original resources related to the life and death of President Abraham Lincoln, the Civil War, and the Union League’s role in the development of our city, commonwealth, and country. The collections include more than 400 artworks and over 2,000 linear feet of archives.
