The 2023-2024 year saw several major Supreme Court rulings. New precedents were set on presidential immunity, federal authority, and prosecutorial discretion. Join us for a moderated discussion between Will Creeley, Legal Director at The Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression (FIRE) and Robert Corn-Revere, Chief Counsel at FIRE, analyzing these cases. Michael Moreland, Director of Villanova’s Eleanor H. McCullen Center for Law, Religion and Public Policy will moderate. Highlights will include United States v. Rahimi, Trump v. United States, and the overturning of Chevron deference. Additionally, the panel will preview what is on the docket. This program promises to be both entertaining and enlightening looking at the year and cases both behind and ahead of the Court.
Villanova University’s Charles Widger School of Law will offer Continuing Law Education credits for attending.
This program will be hosted in-person at The Union League of Philadelphia – 140 S Broad St, Philadelphia, PA 19102. Registration is required. Please register through this event to attend.
