Join Founding Forward for a conversation with one of the principle economic advisors of Argentina’s President Milei. In the 1930s, Argentina was one of the richest countries in the world before spiraling into a perpetual financial crisis with heavy taxes, overregulation, and clientelism. In 2023, Javier Milei was elected as the country’s first libertarian president, promising to slash public spending and unleash the potential of the private sector. How did Milei tame triple digit inflation and set his country on the path to recovery? What lessons can other countries learn from this economist turned president?
Agustín Etchebarne is the Director General of Libertad Y Progresso, a think tank advocating for free market reforms in partnership with Atlas Network, a nonprofit organization that aims to secure for all individuals the rights to economic and personal freedom.
