Good Citizen Day

Good Citizen Day

Date & Time

Description

As part of The Union League of Philadelphia’s America250 commemorations, Founding Forward and the Union League will host Good Citizen Day, an all-day civics program, at the League House. Over 250 11th-grade students will gain an in-depth understanding of the Constitution and their rights and responsibilities as good citizens – and future leaders of this great American Experiment. Students will learn about the Constitution, debate constitutional issues, and how they can be an engaged citizen leader.

This fast-paced, immersive program, which celebrate the 80th program this year, encourages students to engage in civil discourse while realizing their rights and responsibilities as United States citizens. At the evening banquet, each of the 250+ high school students are formally presented with their Good Citizenship Award.

Due to capacity limitations, and to accommodate as many students as possible, the program and banquet dinner is by invitation only. If you are interested in learning more, please contact Christyn Moran, Chief Advancement Officer, [email protected].
