Description

Benjamin Franklin is often called the “First American.” His remarkable life was one that continues to impact Philadelphia, the Commonwealth, and the world. He was an inventor, writer, revolutionary, and one of the most civic minded leaders in our nation’s history.

As part of the America250 celebrations at the League, Founding Forward has commissioned a bronze bust of Franklin by sculptor Christopher Collins. The bust will be unveiled during this special event, and it will include reflections from League member Larry Dubinski, President and CEO of the Franklin Institute, and Jonathan Turley, who will share insights on Franklin. A copy of Turley’s book, Rage and the Republic, will be given to all attendees.

The cost to attend this event is $65, and the event will be held inside Lincoln Hall at The Union League of Philadelphia. Miniature versions of the Benjamin Franklin busts can be ordered during and after the event.
