A new era for Founding Forward
For more than 60 years, Founding Forward’s 86-acre Valley Forge campus, adjacent to Valley Forge National Historical Park, has carried forward the vision then-General Dwight D. Eisenhower helped establish. What began as a foundation for inspiring good citizenship has grown into a living landmark where students, teachers, civic leaders, and visitors explore the timeless principles of civic responsibility, freedom, and leadership.
To meet growing demand and expand its impact, Founding Forward will launch a multi-year campus revitalization initiative, with over $4 million already invested, and now taking the next major step: transforming the heart of its campus, the Martha Washington building (external rendering pictured above).
This project marks the first major step in Founding Forward’s bold, multi-year campus revitalization plan: transforming Valley Forge into America’s premier destination for immersive civic education and principled leadership development — where today’s leaders inspire the leaders of tomorrow.

Wrapping up an impactful summer
It’s been an exciting summer for students, teachers, and the community! Along with celebrating America’s 250th and welcoming several special guests, including Medal of Honor Recipient Dwight W. Birdwell, we have hosted:
- 1,700 students attended our multi-day, immersive Spirit of America Youth Leadership programs, Debate and Leadership Institute, Service Learning in Public Policy, and more.
- 723 educators traveled from across the country to participate in our renowned teacher professional development seminars.
- 3,005 participants attended 16 speaker programs covering a wide range of topics.
Through our programs, we educate and inspire citizens with an understanding of our country’s founding principles – all in the place where history happened.

As educators gear up for another busy school year, we are offering a quick respite for educators who are looking for a short, inspiring getaway to obtain more classroom resources, including a Leadership and Heroism in WWII Normandy seminar as well as a Civic Life: Aristotle, Machiavelli, and Tocqueville seminar. Walk in the footsteps of history
High school students can attend one of two fall Spirit of America Youth Leadership programs on our Valley Forge campus, where they will build friendships, engage in civil discourse, and learn what it means to be a good citizen in their community. Click here to learn more.
America250 celebrations continue
Fourth of July may have come and gone, but our 250th celebrations continue! Attend one of our events, tune into Path of Patriots, and visit our Crafting Independence: “All Men are Created Equal” exhibit to continue the semiquincentennial commemorations.
