July E-Newsletter

Happy Independence Day

From all of us at Founding Forward, we wish you, your family, and loved ones a happy and safe July 4th weekend. As you will read below, we are busy wrapping up our summer education programs, while also planning more studentteacher, and speaker programs for the fall.

Summer teacher professional development programs are in full swing

As you receive this, there are two teacher seminars happening simultaneously – one with educators on the road for our week-long travel seminar, Virginia Presidents, with another group at Liberty Hill, exploring the Constitutional Covenant.

The high demand for these seminars has inspired us to build out more programs for the fall! We’ve scheduled two new three-days seminars at Union League Liberty Hill, and a one-day seminar at the League House. Learn more about our accredited professional development programs for educators.

Exciting student programs continue

This summer is busy with student programs – two Spirit of America programs and then we are piloting two new student programs, a Day Camp for middle school students and Debate and Leadership Institute for high school students.

There are more Spirit of America programs coming this fall. Learn more about this inspiring opportunity for high school students to engage in the first principles of freedom while developing leadership skills and building friendships. Students can apply now for our October and November sessions!

Take a summer stroll with heroes…

Summer is a wonderful time for a walk through the beautifully landscaped 42 acres of the Medal of Honor Grove at our Valley Forge campus. Enjoy the full greenery while paying tribute to each of the Americans who earned our country’s highest recognition for valor. The Grove is open daily from dawn to dusk for self-guided tours. There are several walking paths – perfect for a self-guided tour – and leashed pets are welcome. The Grove is owned by Founding Forward and maintained by a separate non-profit organization, the Friends of the Medal of Honor Grove.

Stay engaged with our speaker programs

We are always adding speaker programs. Follow us on social media (@FoundingForward) or check the Founding Forward’s speaker program calendar to see all the exciting things happening.
