Run Sunday through Friday in the summer, held at Union League Liberty Hill, a scenic 300+ acre private conference center in suburban Philadelphia, offering top-notch facilities and amenities for a comfortable and enriching stay.
Each seminar has a single theme (like Constitutional Covenant, First Amendment Freedoms, or Medal of Honor Legacy: War on Terror and more) and consists of content-focused lectures by highly respected scholars, interactive sessions, and presentations from resource providers (like Retro Report or Periodic Presidents), as well as an out-of-classroom field study to historic sites, archives, and museums.
Unique history workshops, aboard a motorcoach for six days (Sunday – Friday), field studies, and visits to historic sites (such as national parks, state parks, and private sites) connected to eras through American history. One of these is already sold out, but you can choose from Virginia Presidents or American Revolution – Middle States!
Each workshop is hosted by a historian who provides context for the historic sites. Local docents and guides provide breadth and depth. Local museums with subject-appropriate materials are also included, many offering classroom resources for participating teachers.
Run through Friday through Sunday, these are perfect for those looking for a quick, immersive getaway that will help prepare you for America’s 250th celebration next year. Once you apply, we will notify you if you have been accepted. Attendees will receive a $150 stipend as well as a full scholarship for course materials, lectures, hotel accommodations, admission fees, motorcoach transportation to historic sites, most meals, and more.
