Good Citizen Day was a great day!
Around 250 high school juniors from the Philadelphia area attended our 79th Good Citizen Day at The Union League of Philadelphia, and it was a powerful reminder of what makes our programs special. They engaged in civil discourse while learning about their rights and responsibilities as U.S. citizens. More than 150 adults joined for the evening banquet to formally award each of those students their Good Citizenship Award for completing the program and for the leadership they provide in their respective communities. Speaker programs come to our Valley Forge campus!
Historian Dr. Stephen Knott has spent a lifetime grappling with John F. Kennedy’s legacy, finding the real President Kennedy, not the “Camelot” myth. Despite the more than 40,000 titles on JFK and his era, Knott’s biography Coming to Terms with John F. Kennedy has something new to say about a presidency that mattered deeply and left a lasting impact on the presidency and the nation.
The program will be hosted in person on May 6 at Founding Forward’s Valley Forge Campus, beginning with a reception with the author at 6:00pm followed by the program at 6:30. The program is free, but registration is required to attend. If you can’t make it to Valley Forge, the program will be available through Founding Forward’s YouTube channel beginning at 6:30pm the day of the program.
