Last week, on February 12, Founding Forward donors, partners, volunteers, and other League members gathered together to celebrate the 216th birthday of Abraham Lincoln. As we honored President Lincoln, we also had the opportunity to celebrate the first year of Founding Forward – and what a year! We accomplished a lot in 2024, but there is more to do.
We are excited to share another update that will allow Founding Forward to continue fulfilling the promise of greater reach with a bigger impact.

Through its educational programs, Founding Forward honors the past, while charting a course forward. By fostering a deep understanding of our nation’s founding and history through immersive in-person civic education, we are committed to shaping well-informed, actively engaged leaders who will contribute to creating a more perfect union.
Founding Forward has adopted a strategic plan which outlines dramatic goals for the next seven years. These goals include:
- Triple teacher program attendance by 2027, with 20% annual growth through 2031.
- Double student program attendance by 2027, with 20% annual growth through 2031.
- Serve as a center of community civic engagement by creating events consistent with our mission.
It is an ambitious and critical plan. And it is a promise to the future – while it outlines the goals for the next seven years, our commitment is to generational transformation beyond our time.
We look to create a future where Americans are empowered as engaged citizen leaders to uphold and cherish the founding ideals of self-governance.

This plan is achievable, but will take an investment of resources – staff, campus, marketing/communications and more. When this strategic plan is fully realized, we will reach millions nationwide each year.
We ask you to join us in this effort to help us achieve a future rooted in liberty. Explore the plan, attend our programs, share about our work, and make a gift; we appreciate your support. To read the full strategic plan, please click here.
